How to style the jeans of summer 2024!

The construction of this fun denim style is curved and wide with a tapered shape at the bottom. If you hold your weight on the bottom or on the top, I have found these jeans to be outrageously flattering. The shape can balance a bigger chest, but can also give some structure to those with a little bit more weight in the thighs and hips I own a pair of Citizen of Humanity horseshoe jeans and I love the super high rise fit as they hit me at my true natural waist. I am 5”4” and the jeans hit me just above my ankle.

Not to be outdone, the horseshoe jean is the lead role in every outfit. That being said, the remaining pieces do not need to outshine them, but if you’re a maximalist at heart then add volume or a print up top to look extra cool. Personally, I like to keep the rest of my outfit sleek and chic as this shape of denim can read pretty boho and casual. I’d do a minimalist sandal / top combo with a cool pair of sunnies. Bag and earrings are almost always fun these days.

Don’t forget to mix in some pre-fall options to help you ease into the next season. I’d add a cropped trench, some strappy heels and a clutch to wear these jeans to dinner in the fall.
